It's October, wake up the 360

NBA 2K9 Vs. NBA Live 09

It's October and that means this month I will spend money on my Xbox 360. My favorite games over the last few years have been NBA and FIFA games. I have been back and forth with basketball games between the 2K series and the Live series. Live takes me back to Sega Genesis and the introduction of signature moves and all that, but once Dreamcast hit, 2K it was, video basketball was suddenly basketball. I wavered a couple times since, but its been the 2K series for the last couple years, it's just more solid. The 2K9 version looks amazing and some bugs have been corrected as well. Live just seems too choppy, there are awkward movements and it seems like everyone is on ice, idk. Watch the trailer for both and you decide.

FIFA 09 VS Pro Evolution Soccer 09

The last couple of years I have gone back and forth with this series. Pro Evo has great gameplay and smooth animation, but FIFA had all the rights and money to back it. When the next gen systems came out, Pro Evo was left behind a little bit, the 2008 version was lacking any major improvements from the 07 version for PS2 and OG Xbox. This year they have tried to catch up and they also now are able to use licensed kits and team names, so while I picked up FIFA last year, because it seemed logical, this year may be a decision, here is a trailer comparing the 2. I'm not gonna lie, FIFA looks a lil better, maybe it's jus the terrible AI in the highlight or the fact that Keane is like 10 yards offside in his second goal. Plus, how could they use Man U and Liverpool for their demo, really, no City? I guess I might have to support the EA machine. Italia!
